FAQs
When is the best time to do the course?

Most women start focusing on their birth towards the end of the second trimester, and the most popular time to attend a course is between 26-32 weeks. But it is never too late! I have had clients right up to the end of pregnancy. Attending a BirthMind course at any stage during pregnancy can have a positive impact on your birth. Dates do get booked up though, so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Do partners do the course too?

It is strongly recommended that birth partners attend the course. Courses are designed to ensure partners feel informed, prepared and supported so that they too can enjoy a positive birth experience. Birth partners have a crucial role, and understanding why it is important for you to stay relaxed will enable them to support you more effectively. They will receive a special information pack too! Partner feedback is very positive.

Should I prepare?

You don't need to do anything in advance other than completing a pre-course questionnaire. Wear comfortable clothes on the day!

What support will I have after the course?

I will be available on the phone and email to answer any questions and support you in your hypnobirthing preparation, right up to the birth of your baby. For private one-to-one courses, a follow up session near to your estimated due date is included. I am often in contact with parents during labour, and absolutely love hearing the happy news when baby arrives!

Where are you based?

BirthMind is based in Bushey, Hertfordshire. In-person private courses are offered Hertfordshire and North London (additional travel costs may apply for greater distances). All courses are also available in the comfort of your home - wherever you are - taught live via Zoom.
